For those that have loved their garden their whole lives, it can be hard when we start to struggle physically to keep the garden in the same state that we love to see it in.  My service is specifically tailored to help those who struggle, so you can continue to enjoy their garden at any age, after an injury or even if life or work is just getting on top of you.

I offer a regular gardening service especially suited for those supporting their elderly or vulnerable relatives or those looking for a little extra support themselves.  With an emphasis on keeping you or your loved one safe and keeping the garden looking beautiful all year round, this is a service you can trust.

Regular Garden Maintenance

With a booked in, regular time slot, I take care of all the essentials, including:
✔️ Lawn mowing & edging
✔️ Weeding, pruning & shaping
✔️ Deadheading & hedge trimming
✔️ Planting

✔️ Watering & pot maintenance
✔️ Pond cleaning & greenhouse washing
✔️ Tending garden furniture

✔️ Look after the greenhouse veg.
✔️ Dog poop pick-ups (because someone has to!)
✔️ Even a garden centre run—I’ll grab those heavy compost bags for you!

Touchpoint Service

Anyone of any age can get lonely sometimes.  But social isolation is much more common as we get older due to health, mobility and changes in family circumstances.  My service is specifically provided weekly in order to support my customers with this.  Every week, I'll be at the door to come check in on the garden and those who want enjoy it.​​

I can also provide a Touchpoint Service with explicit permission from all parties.  I can send a text or email to a chosen relative letting them know what's been done in the garden, if the garden owner has been seen, and any perceived issues with wellbeing. Sometimes, a simple message can bring great peace of mind.

A Service to be Trusted

​​​​

Family members can also become more vulnerable as they get older.  Your relatives can be much more susceptible to being taken advantage of and more easily intimidated. Some tradesmen can even share that vulnerability with others, leading to a never ending line of people coming to clean the gutters, power wash the roof and re-lay the slabs.  This is something I know, because its something I've experienced with my own elderly relatives.

Eldertree Gardening is a service you can trust.  I will never share information and never suggest a new quote after I've seen the Porsche in the drive.

What I Don’t Do

​​​​​​

There are some garden jobs better lefts to those with specialist skills.

​​​​​​

❌ Landscaping services
❌ Building beds or borders
❌ Large tree management

❌ Poisons and weedkillers

Additionally, I don’t provide most consumable goods as part of my standard service, though I do regularly buy smaller items such as grass seed and compost for top dressing pots. However, if you’re unable to get to the garden centre, I’m happy to pick up items like bedding plants, grass seed, woodchip, topsoil, etc. The cost will be the purchase price only—there are no additional fees.
